We are excited to announce our FEATURED ARTISTS for the Magnet Open Art Project. Each artist has generously agreed to submit four images of their work for the project. We will be posting images of their artwork in the near future, in the meantime, here is some information about them with links to their work.
David M. Carroll
New Hampshire naturalist-artist, David M. Carroll, is a MacArthur Foundation Fellow and author of three acclaimed natural histories: THE YEAR OF THE TURTLE; TROUT REFLECTIONS; and SWAMP-WALKER’S JOURNAL.
Laurette Carroll is an artist-sculptor working in oils, acrylics, watercolors, and pastels, often using mixed media and integrating drawing and collage elements into her paintings.
Creator of the Magnet Art Exhibition, Alban Low is an artist who splits his time between his studios in France and London.
Melissa Miller, painter, was born in Pennsylvania and grew up in New Hampshire. She attended Skidmore College and Principia College, has been a fellow at the Vermont Studio Center.
Artist and gallerist, Pam Tarbell, owns the Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Gardens in Concord, NH. The gallery combines "nature and art" in a peaceful setting of perennial gardens, fields, woodlands and ponds.
